DescriptionIn 2008, we built a shopping cart for Pretty Princess using Flash. We constructed what was described by all who saw it as "gorgeous" and "stunning". However the downside to that experience was a long loading time for anyone not on a high speed broadband connection. The Flash environment also does not serve well for search engine optimisation, and hence sales were minimal. In early 2009 we abandoned the Flash Cart and rebuilt the site with a whole lot more knowledge and research at hand. The site was rebuilt using Joomla which has resulted in sales and search engine rankings dramatically increasing. Pretty Princess also utilise our e-newsletter system, sending a monthly newsletter to customers. Each edition creates a big spike in sales results proving its worth as a valuable communication and marketing tool.
