The first argument without fail that is thrown at me when mentioning Flash, is it can't be found on search engines. Although static text fields in Flash have been able to be indexed for sometime, this frustates me no end (since when did Search Engine rankings become so much more important than user experience?).So I'm pleased to see the significant development that this issue is hopefully on its way to being a thing of the past. Adobe and Google have been working together with the Flash Player being opened up to Google and now any text within the swf file, whether it be menus, text, urls can be indexed by Google. Whilst there is still some way to go with indexing dynamic data its a great first step. More on this development can be read here
